Let me in-

There is a lot of use of cold colour in this film, which helps to add to the eerie mood and atmosphere within the film. It help to make the audience feel on edge and nervous, which is perfect for the genre of the film.

There isn’t a large amount of shots used in each scene. I like the way that this is done, as it helps to make it more consistent when watching.  I think that it also means that we can fully digest and be fully engrossed with what they’re saying.

Blade-

Similarly to ‘Let me in’ there is a lot of dark and cold colours used in this film. This clearly coincides with the genre of the film, and is a key theme in most Vampire films. The use of black, silvers and greys within the film also help to give it a modern feel.

In Blade, there are a lot of use of shadows which helps to also add to the atmosphere by adding an extra level of creepiness to each scene. Within the film there are a lot of panning shots, which I think is effective as it allows the audience to the see a lot of the action on screen without having the interruption of lots of jump shots. I personally think this makes it a lot smoother and easier on the eye when watching.

Fright Night (2011)-

This film was effective s it had a way of making certain characters seem small and weak, and others strong. For example, in one scene there are two characters talking, one of these characters is smaller and further away in the frame, which helps to suggest to the audience that he’s the weaker out of the two.
