Website/Blog Pictures

For our missingpersonsunitwales website and blog we took it upon ourselves to take pictures to go around the sites. During one of the Multimedia sessions, Harrison, Chloe, Bethan and myself went around and outside the uni to takes pictures suitable for the site. We booked out a camera from the media loans centre and started location hunting within the uni.

As it was a spur of the moment type situation we were our own models, so me and the girls took it in turns to look lonely/distressed in different areas of the location to capture the tone of the site and to show that our fictional one is created to help youths.

At the bottom of the staircase on the A block of the building there is a public telephone hung against the wall. We used this to take photos of youths using the phone to make it seem as if they are calling our helpline. To get into character of a troubled youth I wore a zipped up hoodie, jeans and black trainers (see below).

Next we scouted around the library as the advice zone looked like an area suitable to go on the website because of the computers and professional people behind them. We asked one of the guy’s working behind the desk if we could take a picture for the fictional site and he agreed so there was good cooperation. Once shots from inside the building were made we ventured to the front of the building were we took photos outside along the steps.
