Mid-afternoon in a small house in South Wales. A young girl, Red, is sitting in her living room watching a news report about missing women in her local town. Her mother is off to check on her grandmother to make sure she’s okay and isn’t panicked about the disappearances. She says she’ll only be a couple of hours and tells Red to stay in the house and not open the door to anyone.

Many hours later, Red realises that her mother hasn’t returned yet, she picks up the phone about to call her when there’s a knock at the door. She tentatively walks toward the door but doesn’t answer. There’s a knock again and Red calls out “Who’s there?”, when there’s no answer she walks back slowly into her living room.

Suddenly she hears a crash in the kitchen, she calls out again but there’s no answer. She plucks up the courage and walks into her kitchen to find a middle aged woman in her kitchen. The woman is familiar to her but she can’t work out how. “Who’re you?” she asks “And why are you in my kitchen?”. The woman replies “It’s me, your grandmother, don’t you recognise me?”. Red is confused and doesn’t believe her but accepts it as she recognises the woman. Red starts to make the woman some food before remembering that her mother was meant to be home. As she’s distracted she accidentally cuts her finger causing it to bleed. Suddenly her grandmother’s eyes light up red and she tries to grab Red’s finger. “Let me help you with that” her grandmother says excitedly as she leaps toward Red attempting to suck her blood. “What are you doing?” Red asks her grandmother “Why do you want my blood?”. Her grandmother replies that she needs to drink her blood in order to stay youthful. Red asks about her mother and her grandmother replies “I drank her dry”. This is when Red realises that her grandmother is behind the disappearances and is in fact a vampire. Her grandmother jumps onto Red in an attempt to drink her blood. Red jumps into action and all we see is her hit her grandmother over the head with a wooden knife block.
