Poster:

My design for the poster has changed a few times, i like the minimalistic style of just intriguing image, this is the reason i used the bright red lips and teeth, this also reflects the films character.

The moon lit and forest background also resembles scenes from the film, the font used is very gritty.

The overall feel for the film is quite tongue and cheek this is the reason i created the tag line: ‘In your fans house nobody will here you scream’.

Its important for me to make the post look legitimate, therefor this is why i used the standard universal font for the production credits. I used the USW logo for production company.

Missing Persons Unit – Live

I thought it would be a good idea to create a ‘Crime Watch’ spoof when marketing the film. After analysing genuine crime watch reports, i started to create overlays and intros to make it look realistic. The reconstruction was a bit cheesy but this also reflects genuine crime watch reconstruction. We walked around the town centre for an hour with the actress, i filmed her and Bethan directed her according to the script. I didn’t think it was the best idea to film in broad daylight, but i believe we made it work.

I thought it was important to utilise the same actor we had used for previous reports (Marcus Watling) as not only did he do a very good job, i thought that this would add to the world we were trying to create. I liked the contrast of a On Location report and The In studio report.

The auto cue was not set up for the In Studio Shoot as expected, so Marcus Had to read off a script, i don’t believe this helped as we were trying to create a realistic  report

Edit:

During the edit i found that the script was over excessive and the visuals were not all captured, so i edited the best way possible.

I colour graded the reconstruction and the in studio report, i found a stock news intro of which i merged the Missing Persons Unit logo with. The overlays change regularly, they inform the audience of other ways to interact with Missing Persons Unit, such as our App.

Facetime Attack:

I thought it would be a good idea for additional media content, to create this footage. Chloe filmed the ‘viral footage’ with her friends, the script was pretty good and so was the acting, although it really would have added intesity to the scene if it was filmed ay Night.

Edit:

I used a iPhone Green screen and then i imported the videos and cropped them to fit the frames of the iphone. I thought the best way to promote this would be through the Misiing Persons Unit page.

Content – Social Media:

I forwarded all the content i created to Dan who is head of social media, we discussed what would be the best order of release for the content.
